Cameron Mitchell Restaurants

Founded by entrepreneur Cameron Mitchell in 1993, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) has built a diverse portfolio of varied concepts, ranging from multi-location upscale destinations to single neighborhood favorites. Today, CMR features 12 concepts with 31 restaurants, with many more future additions in the works. The Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern (Rusty Bucket), a sister company of CMR, currently operates 24 locations in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Florida, North Carolina and Colorado. In addition, Cameron Mitchell Premier Events continues to thrive as the premier caterer in Columbus, Ohio.

CMR has a long-standing relationship with Columbus State, which began in 1993. Over the years, CMR has worked closely with the college to hire many graduates as they start their professional careers. In addition, several members of the CMR leadership team, both at the restaurant and executive level, have received their education from Columbus State. The knowledge and skills they gained at the college has been invaluable in mentoring other CMR associates.

Company leaders, including CMR President David Miller, and Rusty Bucket President Gary Callicoat also are active members on the Columbus State Foundation Board. Cameron Mitchell is also currently chairing a capital campaign to raise funds for Columbus State's School of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts.

Furthermore, CMR has given back to Columbus State through the Taste of the Future event for many years. The company's support has helped Columbus State students pursue their dreams of higher education and a future in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
